Differential Assembly and Spacers
Ensuring critical rotation and mounting of the custom limited slip differential

What?
The custom limited slip differential requires two critical spacers to ensure its proper rotation and mounting
Precise and lightweight aluminum spacers are used to fit in-between a SKF bearing and the differential housing


How?
Utilized a design team standard technical drawing in the machine shop
Passed down aluminum stock and bored a hole to precise tolerances of 0.05 mm
Rebuilt the differential from the ground up to ensure reliability and to fit the new spacers



Results
The differential was reassembled with these spacers to ensure that the mounts were at the precise correct distance to the motor mounts
Bearings were able to spin freely and the spacers fit into its respective location without any scratches or movement, demonstrating the quality of machining and assembly work


Interchangeable Sprockets and Adapter
Designed a topologically optimized sprocket adapter and set of sprockets for UWFE's driveline subsystem

Designed and manufactured an FSAE rules legal scatter guard to enclose the EMRAX 228
